Turtle Inn and Our Last Night in Placencia

The week flew by! It was filled with food, fun, and new friends.

Saturday we rented bikes and road to Francis Ford Coppola's 'Turtle Inn' for the afternoon.
We relaxed by the pool and had a lovely lunch there. And yes, there were turtles!

While perusing through a magazine at breakfast, G found one of the cruise ships he designed!
We're on the right track!
Yes, this is a real sign on the highway; love it!

Saturday night we said good bye to those we met before heading home...

Keepin It Local

Friday we hung around Placencia and went to the local shops and restaurants

Lunch at Cozy's

We had a romantic dinner at Placencia's most beautiful restaurant, Rum Fish.
Covered in flowers and twinkle lights, and with divine cuisine, it was a fantastic Friday night!

R-e-l-a-x with some R-u-m

After a day on the waves, we need some down time (as if being on a boat is difficult).
We got ice cold coconuts with local rum, books, and posted up on the white sand.

Boat. Snorkeling. Fishing. Island. Sunset.

Wednesday we went with our new friends on a snorkel trip to the world's second largest barrier reef. It was so breathtakingly beautiful! We swam with the tropical fish, held starfish, fished for dinner, and cooked the fish we caught on a private island, Frigate Caye, for dinner. The day was perfect.

Waiting for the boat to pick us up...Hammock time!

Justin passed out...and it's only noon.

They got it!

He was hard to reel in, but easy to eat!

The fire in the oven had been burning for 3 days

The lobsters, barracuda, and cheesy potatoes cooking away. YUM!

After dinner we went for a walk around the island and watched the sunset
